How to fix a broken eyeshadow

Oh no! Don't you hate when this happens? Broken eyeshadow ggrr! Luckily this one broke while the lid was still on which makes for an easier fix, in case you didnt know already, a  broken eyeshadow can be fixed with rubbing alcohol. Just  crush the makeup some more, if it's easier for you put it in a resealeble  baggy, pat it into the pallet, pot, wherever it came from and put a few drops of alcohol on the crushed eyeshadow, patting it till its flat inside it's pot, let dry preferably 24 hrs and Voila! You can continue to use your eyeshadow. Besos xoxo

At home pedicure

I work on my feet all day, sometimes seven hours or more, and it sure does a number on my toes! It's pricy to go to the salon and get a pedicure, which is a nice treat, but usually I just do it myself. Self-pedicures are cheap and it's nice to be able to do it in the comfort of your own home. (If only I owned a massage chair it could be even better!)

It's really easy to give yourself a pedicure. Just make sure to gather everything you need and keep supplies close to you.  You can use your tub, or for that spa feeling, use a large bowl big enough for your feet. You can even add some marbles or spa rocks if you want.

Here are some easy steps to having beautiful feet:

Soak. Add Epsom salt to warm water. You can also add some essential oils for a therapeutic effect. Soak feet for about 10 min. Also, if you suffer from athletes foot or to combat foot odor, add a few drops of tea tree oil to the water.

Buff.  Dry feet, then using pumice stone buff your feet concentrating on the rough areas.  Usually the balls of your feet, your heel and big toe.

Exfoliate. With a homemade scrub consisting of olive oil and kosher salt, exfoliate your feet. Take it all the way up to your legs for all-over softness.

Clip. Pat feet dry and trim toe nails with a toe nail clipper. Cut toenails straight across when you trim them. Never round them to match the shape or curve of the end of the toe. Rounding toenails is an invitation to ingrown toenails and other painful problems.

Moisturize. Massage feet and legs with a rich thick creamy lotion. Apply some cuticle oil or again use some olive oil to soften and push back cuticle.

Polish. Wipe toe nails with acetone to wipe off lotion. Then add a base coat followed with 2 coats of polish and finish with top coat.

Have a good beautiful people :)

Yummy chocolate facial good enough to eat.

It's almost February and you know what that means – its almost Valentines Day!  This is a day in which kids exchange valentines to their classmates, a day where couples get all lovey-dovey and buy chocolates and roses for each other. What I'm happiest about is the chocolate!
Now, not only is chocolate super yummy, but it also releases serotonin which is just fancy talk for mood booster. It's delicious and it's scientifically proven to make you happy.

Another great benefit is that it's good for your skin. Chocolate is full of antioxidants that help fight against free radicals that cause skin damage. When selecting your chocolate, remember that the dark variety contains more antioxidants than milk chocolate.

In addition to obtaining the health benefits of chocolate by eating it, you can also slather the sweet stuff on your face as a mask for a beautiful glow.

You will need:
1/3 cup of cocoa powder (raw dark cacao powder is better)
1/2 cup of honey (dark organic is better)
2tbs of heavy cream or plain yogurt
3tsp oatmeal

Mix all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl to form a paste.  Apply to clean face and neck. Massage lightly (oatmeal works as a exfoliant so make sure to massage gently) and let sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

That's all for now wishing everyone a Beautiful week besos Dania La beauty

Shaving 101

Today's tips are for the fellas, to help you get that barber-style shave feeling. Follow these steps to ensure a ingrown hair-, razor burn-free shave.

Tip Número 1: Shave after a hot shower, or if there is no time, place a damp, hot towel on your face to open up pores.

Tip Número 2: Use a shaving cream with a glycerin base, stay away from products containing menthol — it will close your pores.

Tip Número 3: To avoid ingrown hairs and razor burn, make sure your blade is sharp — never use a dull blade. And always shave in the direction that your hair grows.

Tip Número 4: Make sure to hold your skin taut so that razor glides smoothly over skin.

Tip Número 5: Last, but not least, close your pores with a cool water rinse and pat your face gently dry. Use a good shaving balm and avoid using products that contain alcohol, because it will dry your skin.

That's all for now besos Dania la beauty pie.

Tips for taming those curls

This is to all you gals and guys with curly tresses who are wanting to manage their locks.
Tip número 1: Trim your hair at least every two or three times a month. Curly hair is more prone to split ends, so make sure to chop those damaged ends.
Tip número 2: Shampoo hair two or three times a week. Try to use a shampoo specially formulated for your hair type, curly, straight, etc. Our hair makes oils that are good for our hair, but too much isn’t a good things. However do condition your   hair every time you shower.
Tip número 3: Deep condition your hair two times a week, or just once is fine. You can purchase fancy conditioning creams and a hair mask from the department store — or you can use mayonnaise as a treatment.
You will need the real mayo (with all the fat) that can purchase at any grocery store. Use enough to cover your entire scalp, if you have short hair perhaps a tablespoon, if longer hair maybe 1 1/2 tablespoons of mayo. Use a damp, warm towel and wrap you hair, letting it sit for at least an hour. Make sure to shampoo your hair again, if you can use a baby shampoo or just make sure its a gentle one. Then dry and style as usual. This is safe to do everyday if you want, but not necessary.
Tip número 4: If you must blow dry because you don’t have time to air dry, use a diffuser make sure to add some shine drops or frizz control serum.
Thats all for now Besos.. Dania la beauty pie.

Just me

Hi everyone just wanted to post something just about me if you even care if not well I'm posting anyway :) as my page says I am Dania a girl, woman a lady, who like every other woman out there enjoys makeup and colors and flowers and glitter... long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners ...((haha jk wrong web site))  I love food I love wine oh! and cheese!! aaaahhhh yum and chocolate... and I will stop rambling now!
I made this site to really promote myself which honestly wasn't my idea to begin with, I have a great God given person who I am so thankful for helping me out with all of this. I am recently still in beauty school but will be done in about 50 hours WOOHOO!! so I can cut hair and color and all that jazz, but makeup and skin care is something I am more inclined to. There is a satisfaction I get in seeing a woman's face light up when they look at themselves all made up, their posture changes their heads are lifted a little bit higher there is a special look in their eyes as corny as it may sound its a tad bit magical. I get a kick out of that, that is why I love doing makeup its a transformer an ego booster an enhancer to a beauty that is already there but most woman haven't discovered or don't believe is there.
I am in no way an expert in beauty or makeup its just something I do and love to do and everything I blog about is researched not made up or thought about by me, I google I read I have a laboratory where I perform my test (not really) you know the whole nine yards, so everything written on here will be something you have heard about or possibly read at some point in your life. I will provide you with DIY, reviews on department store makeup, because in all reality I cant afford high end ((perhaps someday)) and I don't believe that high end necessarily means better you can achieve the same looks with any brand of makeup you just need to learn how to use it and I will try to provide that for you.
I hope you keep on reading my blogs and tell your friends, I hope that I can provide information that you will actually use and share. I thank you in advance and wish you a beautiful night. Good bye, Adios and besos Dania la beauty pie.

new year... new habits

Photo from bestskincareproductsguide.com

It's the new year.. yay! Woohoo! It's time for a fresh start for new goals for resolutions and kicking bad habits out of our lives, but I would like to share a habit that I would love for you to incorporate into your daily beauty routine, that will help you clear up your skin, avoid premature wrinkles and just make your skin look and feel soft.

What is it, you ask...?

Well ((drum roll please)) its washing your face daily, exfoliating at least twice a week and always always taking your makeup off before going to bed. Plus it's not cute waking up in the morning with makeup all over your face and pillow Eeewww!

Now this economy is leaving a lot of us pressed for cash, so if you're like my mom and you would rather buy beans and rice before buying that name brand makeup remover or face scrub, well good for you, but that doesn't mean you can't have a fresh face and skip on this routine. There is no excuse.

You can easily make a face scrub and remover with the ingredients you have in your kitchen cabinet. A simple easy kitchen ingredient is olive oil. You can use it to remove your makeup use with a cotton pad. Sweep it over eyes and all over face and presto! Makeup will come off as easy as 1, 2, 3... ((Michael Jackson's song just played in my head))

Also, you can add brown or white sugar to the olive along with a few tablespoons of milk make a paste and in circular motions work throughout your face its a GREAT cheap scrub for your face even your feet!

So let's kick start this year with a fresh face with new good for you habits make this year a GREAT one .... Oh yeah before I forget please always use an spf and drink lots and lots of agua, H20 water!! I can't stress that enough. So till next time...

Adios, goodbye and Besos,
Dania la beauty pie.
